OECD GenderNet

The GENDERNET is the only international forum where experts from development co-operation agencies meet to define common approaches in support of gender equality and women’s rights. It brings together gender equality advisors from DAC member agencies as well as observers (UN Women, the World Bank, regional development banks).


WikiGender is a project initiated by the OECD Development Centre to facilitate the exchange and improve the knowledge on gender equality-related issues around the world. A particular focus lies on gathering empirical evidence and identifying adequate statistics to measure gender equality. Based on the work of the OECD Gender, Institutions and Development Data Base, WikiGender aims to highlight the importance of social institutions such as norms, traditions and cultural practices that impact on women's empowerment.

GADNET - Gender And Development Network

GADN is a diverse, effective and inclusive membership network made up of leading UK-based non-governmental organisations’ (NGO) staff, practitioners, consultants and academics working on gender, development and women’s rights issues. GADN enables members to share information and expertise, effectively lobby government and international bodies on gender and development issues and provide expert advice and comment on policies and projects.

GED - Gender Equality and Diversity branch

The Gender, Equality and Diversity Branch (GED), part of the Conditions of Work and Equality Department of the International Labour Office, is responsible for promoting equality and respect for diversity in the world of work. GED expertise focuses on issues related to equal opportunities and treatment for all women and men in the world of work, and eliminating discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, indigenous identity and disability. The Branch provides policy advice, tools, guidance and technical assistance to constituents including with respect to promoting more inclusive workplaces, and ensuring that policies, programmes and institutions are gender-responsive.

Gendered innovations - Stanford University
